Casey Tompkins: Extremal problems for Berge trees

We investigate the Tur\'an number of a Berge copy of a tree in a hypergraph.

In particular, we consider the case when a Berge tree with $k$ edges is forbidden

in a hypergraph of uniformity $r = \Omega(k^2)$. Results and conjectures for

multihypergraphs are also presented.
